Cable Car NepalThe trip to Manakamana Devi on a cable car through beautiful ridges and across white waters of the mountains is a combination of both adventure and devotion towards the natural beauties.

Cable car is the newly introduced phenomenon in Nepal which become extremely popular among the local and tourist. The Cable car is situated in Kurintar which is near about 105 KM west of Kathmandu on the highway to Pokhara will take you to the temple of wish fulfilling goddess Manakamana. At the cable car station Kurintar we can find some good resorts and restaurants, dedicated to serving the tourists.The Manakamana Temple lies 12 km south of historic town Gorkha and located on a prominent ridge (1302m) overlooking the river valleys of Trisuli (south) and Marshyandi (west). The unique location of the place is dramatized during winter when the ridge appears as island above the sea of morning mist. People believe the Goddess here, fulfils the wishes of her devotees, thus she is regarded as Manakmana, the wish fulfilling deity.

The cable car in Nepal takes you up on a spiritual adventure to the abode of Manakamana, the Wish-fulfilling goddess. Even if you have no wishes to make (assuming that you have got it all or you not a believer) this place offers a unique look into Nepali people's faith in the Goddess Manakamana. The Manankamana Temple overlooks terraced fields, and the Trisuli and Marsynagdi river valleys. The hilltop (1302m) also offers a vantage point for taking in the breathtaking view of the Manaslu-Himalchuli and Annapurna massifs to the north.
Venerated since the 17th century and commanding royal patronage, Manakamana is located south of the historic town of Gorkha and 6 km north of Mugling. In the past, millions of pilgrims used to do the long arduous trek up to the hilltop. Many still do. From the cable car station in cheres, you get to Manankamana in 10 minutes flat or less. The ride covers a distance of 2.8 km. With 31 passenger and 3 cargo cars, each with a seating capacity of 6, the system has the overall capacity of hadling 600 persons per hour. The adventure is in getting your wishes fulfilled.

Drive Kathmandu to Kurintar (104 Kms) by car / tourist bus.
• Kurintar to Manakamana Temple (2.8 Km) by cable car (10 minutes duration)
• Visit Manakamana temple & return back to Kurintar by cable-car (10 minutes)
• Drive back to Kathmandu by Car/ tourist bus.
